From the summer of 1938, the time of its introduction, until 1951 – that's 14 years of uninterrupted sporting glory. No other racing car endured this period with such overwhelming success. And perhaps no other car has ever finished a sporting season undefeated like the Alfetta did in 1950, its golden year: 11 races, 11 victories (including the most impressive Grand Prix events).
From the first designs of the "Alfetta" to the pinnacle of Italian automotive engeneering- 11 races, 11 victories: the Alfetta has always been the first to cross the finish line, with either Farina or Fangio behind the wheel.
THE MOST SUCCESSFUL RACING CAR OF ALL TIME.
The Alfa Romeo Tipo 158 remained the car to be beaten.
WHERE THE HISTORY OF THE F1 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIOP BEGAN
The British Grand Prix in Silverstone was the first of eight races in the newly established 1950 Formula 1 World Championship. Nations that had been at war with each other just a few years earlier were now united in sport. It was a historic moment. For Alfa Romeo, it became a historic victory.
